Among many things, Sarah Taylor is an award-winning SAG-AFTRA actor and stand up comedian based in Los Angeles. Variety calls her “stunningly good”, Backstage West says she’s “glorious”, and The Chicago Reader finds her “impressive” and “mercurial”…which might just be a nice way of saying she’s moody.

Her comedy is empowering, silly, often philosophical, and sometimes absurd. She’s appeared on SUPERSTORE, HOT IN CLEVELAND, BUNHEADS, was a series regular for three seasons on NBC's IN GAYLE WE TRUST, and has been seen in many other TV shows and in films. She’s performed on stages all over, from The Kennedy Center in D.C. to The Volsbühne in Berlin and all the top comedy clubs like The Laugh Factory, The Improv, The Comedy Store and more.

Winning the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship, she trained at American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and is a graduate of California Institute Of The Arts’ Acting Program.

Since 2019, she has produced and performed on COSMIC JOKE, her monthly show at The Hollywood Improv, and has produced a fun and irreverent astrology themed show called What’s Your Sign? with astrologer/comedian Lars Mellis at Liberate Yourself in Sherman Oaks.

When she’s not making ridiculous videos about the improper uses of crystals and poking fun at the spiritual scene on her IG, Sarah takes THE DIVINE MESS SHOW on tour, which is a one-of-a-kind show with Sarah’s ability to go deep and get light, creating a transformative experience through laughter, intuitive playfulness with the audience, and Reiki energy. Reach out to bring her to your community!

For over a decade, Sarah has been a spiritual guide and intuitive energy healing practitioner, offering group events and one on one sessions for people who are into accessing their spiritual mojo and waking up. She is currently writing The Divine Mess: Living As A Spiritual Seeker And Finder In A Modern, Mixed Up World

She has been interviewed on the popular podcast/show Buddha At The Gas Pump about her bumpy spiritual awakening journey, and has given a TEDx Talk on how meditation began to change her life. To learn more about her spiritual work, click here.

Sarah was interviewed by Rick Archer on the popular Buddha At The Gas Pump show about undergoing a radical non-dual awakening while working as a comedian:

THE BOOK

The Divine Mess: An Unlikely Woman’s Field Guide To Enlightenment:

How does an anxious, atheist insomniac handle a radical inner transformation — the likes of which countless spiritual seekers have sought — that finds her face to face with powerful energies, intuitive abilities, mystical happenings, but most importantly, an abiding shift in consciousness known as spiritual awakening…all while navigating the stand up comedy scene in Los Angeles? The Buddha talked a lot about waking up, but never mentioned how messy it can be! This is the book we need for our crazy times since, paradoxically, more people are finding themselves navigating the stages of awakening. There are so many myths, too many projected ideas, and not enough boots-on-the-ground personal reports of spiritual “finders”. You’ll find much to chew on in this humorous, moving, wise and irreverent book that’s helpful, transcendent, and down to earth.
